Either way, having the opportunity to work from home opens a whole new window of opportunity. But, how can you ensure that working from home is the right job for you?

1. Create a Schedule

If you find yourself wondering how to stay motivated working from home, it's crucial to create a detailed schedule for your day.

This schedule will outline each and every task that must be completed by day-end. It's also going to dictate a timeline by which each of these tasks must be complete. In creating your schedule, you're also going to want to account for routine breaks and a break for meals.

Not only will this help you stay on track, but it's also going to prevent you from working outside of your pre-determined working hours.

2. Establish a Dedicated Workspace

On a groggy morning, it can be tempting to grab your laptop and work from bed.

But, whether you're building a bookkeeping franchise or a general franchise, having a dedicated workspace is critical. While working from bed is undeniably comfortable, sleep experts recommend against doing so. Instead, your bedroom should be reserved as a place to sleep and ultimately disconnect from your workday.

Ideally, your dedicated workspace will be located in an area of your home that has minimal distractions and the ability to shut a door. From here, you want to ensure that you have an ergonomic setup and that you schedule routine breaks away from this workspace.

3. Limit Your Distractions

Did you know that we check our phones an average of 96 times a day?

During your working hours, do yourself a favor and limit your phone time. In fact, you might even find it helpful to place your phone out-of-sight. In doing so, you'll be less tempted to start a text conversation or scroll through your newsfeed during working hours.

Instead, you can look forward to checking your phone on your scheduled breaks or as a reward for completing a grueling task. Just like that, you're going to be blown away by how much easier it is to focus and how quickly you finish your tasks.
